At Casa Lü Sur, we provide visiting artists with spacious living and working spaces, offering a unique blend of support, collaboration, and inspiration. We are dedicated to fostering the exchange of ideas through a rich array of activities, with continuous assistance and support from our experienced hosts. The engaging schedule is designed to immerse residents fully in the artistic and cultural exchange that Casa Lü Sur prides itself on. We offer two programs:

IMMERSIVE RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The Immersive Residency Program offers a focused retreat for committed artists. It’s designed for those who wish to dive deeply into their work and reexamine their practice from new perspectives. The program strikes a gentle balance between solitude and cultural engagement. The program includes weekly curated excursions throughout Mexico City to inspire fresh ideas, along with studio time and opportunities for dialogue and feedback. On the final Saturday of the residency, each resident presents a solo show, marking a shared culmination of each artist’s unique journey.
EXCURSIONS
Every week, we organize excursions to explore some of our cherished locations within the southern part of the City. Different members of our team will host these outings so they can experience the city through different eyes. The tours include: pick up and drop off to the residency and entrance tickets. IMMERSIVE PROGRAM EXHIBITIONS
At the end of the residency, studios are transformed into exhibition spaces, where residents present their work in a solo show. The exhibition opens on the final Saturday of the program and remains on display for a couple days, offering a reflective close to their time at Casa Lü Sur.
WRITERS RESIDENCY PROGRAM
This program is designed for writers at any stage of their career. A haven for writers seeking focus, inspiration, and community. This residency offers a peaceful and supportive environment, allowing writers to immerse themselves in their craft and connect with fellow writers. With a mix of solitude, workshops, and cultural experiences, this program fosters creativity, growth, and productivity. Whether working on a novel, poetry, or other writing projects, writers will find a nurturing space to explore their ideas and bring their work to life.
WRITERS PROGRAM FINAL READING
The residency concludes with a final reading event, where writers share their work with an audience of peers, guests, and literary enthusiasts. Held on the last Saturday of the program, this event provides a celebratory finish to the residency.
